Hands-On Laboratory Training

Tissue Processing

Process and infiltrate tissue specimens to specification.

Embedding

Practice paraffin embedding techniques and orientation.

Microtomy

Section paraffin blocks, including facing, ribboning, and flotation.

H&E Staining

Perform routine hematoxylin and eosin staining and evaluate quality.

Special Stains

Practice selected special stain techniques and recognize expected results.

Grossing

Practice specimen description, sampling, and cassette submission under supervision.
